Basic Limits Premium Subject to Experience Rating
Definition: The "basic limits premium subject to experience rating" is the total of the premiums computed by extending the actual Texas exposures developed during each year of the experience period at manual rates for basic limits of liability.
For exposures where the minimum premium is the controlling premium, use the minimum premium.
Premiums and losses for coverages written at deductibles equal to or greater than basic limits shall not be included in calculating the experience modification applicable to the risk, nor shall such experience modification apply to such coverages.
Policies written on a combined single limit basis with either a bodily injury or a property damage deductible equal to or greater than basic limits shall not be subject to experience rating.
|
Eligibility Requirements
A risk will be subject to experience rating if it has produced basic limits premiums subject to experience rating for Texas exposure of not less than $7,500 in the latest year or not less than $10,000 in the latest two years of the experience rating. |
