This year, we are pleased to announce the following industry leaders, as 2021 Legacy Partners:

  • James (Jim) Harms
  • Marvin Kelly
  • Lonnie Van Houten

Their annual commitment in support of the Education Foundation is greatly appreciated. They each have individually contributed to the Education Foundation and many have personally met with, mentored, and hired scholarship recipients. In addition to scholarships, their donations fund grants to university risk management and insurance programs subsidizing the purchase of books, designation study aids, licensing tests, conferences, and other learning opportunities.

ICT began awarding scholarships in 2002 and five years later, the ICT Education Foundation was formed as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission of promoting careers in the property and casualty insurance industry. Since its inception, over $1.29 million in scholarships and grants have been awarded to 12 university partners and 628 diverse students throughout Texas. ICT supports various university insurance, risk management, finance, or business producing high-caliber students ready to enter the property and casualty industry.

Each year, the Annual P&C Insurance Symposium is the primary fundraising event for the Education Foundation. This year, however, as we moved into a virtual format, we have been challenged to meet our fundraising goals. Please consider adding your name to the roster of Supporters of Education. ICT staff administers the Education Foundation allowing 100% of your donation to directly support the next generation of insurance professionals.

Congratulations and a sincere thanks to our Legacy Partners without whom, the Education Foundation would not be as successful.
