Workers' Comp Services

Workers’ Compensation Services

The Insurance Council of Texas (ICT) provides its member companies with strong and effective advice and representation in workers' compensation regulatory matters, and a variety of services and products that include information and resources members need to be successful in the Texas workers' compensation system. Members benefit from our regulatory efforts and trust that ICT will keep them informed and will listen to their input and concerns.

ICT’s Workers’ Compensation Services program and staff work closely with our Workers’ Compensation Committee and our membership on regulatory issues. ICT reviews and, if needed, comments on every Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) and TDI Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) proposed rule making activity impacting workers’ compensation.

Our staff is knowledgeable on workers’ compensation issues with over 40+ combined years of experience in Texas.  Because of our depth of knowledge and experience, ICT is considered to be an opinion leader on workers’ compensation issues in Texas.

In addition, ICT has the following workers’ compensation resources and services that our members have access to:

Texas Workers’ Compensation Newsletter

ICT prepares and distributes a quarterly electronic workers’ compensation newsletter and periodic regulatory bulletins that report on developments impacting the Texas workers' compensation system.  These publications include valuable information and regulatory updates for member to help them successfully navigate Texas’ complex system.

Education Events

ICT provides continuing education opportunities for licensed adjusters, insurance agents, nurses, nurse case managers, attorneys and other interested individuals. Our events also provide the attendees with an opportunity to network with their peers.

Our Annual Workers’ Compensation Conference is considered by many system stakeholders, regulators, and legislative staff to be a "must attend" event. The conference provides an update on legislative, regulatory, court-related and other developments that impact the Texas System.

ICT’s Workers’ Compensation Seminars provide an overview of new rules, significant case law, and other developments that impact the day - to - day business practices of system participants.

Later in 2017, we plan to launch webinars for our members, including webinars on workers’ compensation issues.
