Personal Lines Committee

This committee consists of not more than fifteen members. Its mission is to provide a forum for committee members to exchange information and stay abreast of regulatory and legislative issues impacting the private passenger automobile and homeowners’ lines of insurance, along with the Texas FAIR Plan Association, and other personal lines residual market mechanisms. At the request of the committee chair, the Board of Directors, and/or the Manager, the committee will review and propose changes to administrative rules from regulatory agencies, including, but not limited to, the Texas Department of Insurance and Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which may affect the above-referenced markets. The committee may identify and discuss regulatory policies, trends and other events impacting the personal lines markets. Committee members may also prepare news articles for distribution by ICT to its members, or may provide input to whitepapers, and other educational documents for distribution to consumers, members, regulators, other insurance trade groups, and legislators for educational purposes.
