Commissioner of Workers' Compensation Ryan Brannan has adopted new Rule 133.30, regarding Telemedicine Services and Telehealth Services. The rule expands access to telemedicine services in the Texas workers’ compensation system by allowing health care providers to bill and be reimbursed for telemedicine or telehealth services regardless of where the injured employee is located at the time the services are delivered.
The new rule is applicable to telemedicine and telehealth services provided on or after September 1, 2018.
