As much of the country is gripped with excessive heat warnings, the Insurance Council of Texas reminds us all to take steps to prevent tragedies.
Recent headlines speak of the heartbreaking deaths of two year-old children left in a hot car for 8 hours in New York. Here in Texas, we too face these stories since we top the list of hot car related fatalities. Though we’ve had a relatively mild summer, as we enter August, the hottest month of the year, we must heed warnings, protect ourselves and those in our care.
While the message is simple – reminders of the risks and steps to manage our hot summer days will keep us all safe.
