TDI announced an October 8 hearing on TWIA's request to increase maximun liability limits.
TWIA is requesting approval to increase its existing maximum liability limits on windstorm and hail policies insuring residential dwelling and individually-owned townhouses and associated contents. Currently, the limits for residential dwellings and townhouses is capped at $1,773,000. TWIA is seeking approval to raise liability limits to $1,847,000. TWIA also seeks increased limits for contents of apartments, condominiums, or townhouses; commercial structures and associated contents; and governmental structures and associated contents.
The hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Monday, October 8, in the Mattax Hearing Room at the William P. Hobby Jr. State Office Building, 333 Guadalupe in Austin.
