TDI issues Disallowed Expense Data Call

Commissioner’s Bulletin # B-0020-18 announces the Texas disallowed expense data call for calendar year 2017 experience. This call collects information about "disallowed expenses" defined in Insurance Code Section 2251.002(1).

This data call applies to licensed companies that in 2017 wrote premium for any of the following lines of insurance in Texas: fire, allied lines, private crop, farmowners multiple peril, homeowners multiple peril, commercial multiple peril, inland marine, medical malpractice, other general liability, products liability, private passenger automobile, commercial automobile, fidelity, or surety.

Insurance carriers must respond to the data call by April 1, 2019. The commissioner’s bulletin, data call instructions, affidavit, and data call PDF form associated with the data call which must be used are

TDI Makes 2018 Call for Annual Experience and Workers' Compensation Deductible Plans

Commissioner’s Bulletin # B-0018-18 announces a data call for annual experience and workers' compensation deductible plans. This is a mandatory data call under Insurance Code Sections 2251.003, 2251.008, and 38.001.

The data call applies to all insurance companies licensed to write private passenger automobile, commercial automobile, homeowners multiple peril, workers' compensation, commercial fire and allied lines, residential fire and allied lines, commercial multiple peril, general liability, boiler and machinery, commercial crime, commercial glass, surety, inland marine, medical professional liability, or miscellaneous professional liability insurance in Texas.

Insurance carriers must complete separate forms for each company in your group licensed for one or more lines of business covered in this data call and respond to the data call by February 13, 2019. The underlying data, individual source documents, and other information used to develop your response must be kept until at least February 13, 2021.
