About the ICT Education Foundation

For more than two decades, ICT and the ICT Education Foundation have invested in the future of the insurance industry by supporting Texas university students through scholarships and academic funding. Since 2002, ICT has awarded more than $1.7 million to students preparing for careers in insurance and to partner universities helping educate the next generation of industry professionals.

To expand this work, ICT established the ICT Education Foundation in 2007 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing insurance education and scholarship opportunities across Texas. The Foundation’s mission remains focused on opening doors for students, strengthening university insurance programs and building a strong talent pipeline for the industry.

This impact is made possible through the generous support of corporate sponsors, individual donors and ICT members who believe in investing in the future of insurance. What makes the Foundation especially meaningful is that 100% of every donation goes directly toward student scholarships and educational funding for participating schools. Every dollar contributed helps students succeed, supports Texas universities and strengthens the future of our industry.

ICT Deepens University Partnerships Through 2025 Campus Visits

Members of the ICT Education Foundation Board of Trustees, joined by Albert Betts and Rich Johnson, traveled throughout 2025 to visit all nine campuses of ICT’s partner colleges and universities. The visits strengthened relationships with faculty, students and campus leaders while reinforcing ICT’s commitment to building a strong insurance talent pipeline. Trustees John Henle, John Schramm, Craig Sparks, Rick Gentry and Errica Rivera took part in the campus outreach, helping connect students directly with industry leaders and career insight. These in-person conversations gave students a clearer view of the many pathways available in insurance, from internships and mentoring to full-time employment. By showing up on campus, ICT deepened its university partnerships across Texas and beyond and expanded opportunities for the next generation of insurance professionals.
